The doctor explains, "Sir, you'll have to come down to the hospital, your wife has been in a terrible car accident".

The man leaves work and speeds off to the hospital. He gets there, finds his wife's room, and the doctor stops him before he can go in. The doctor goes "Sir, before you go in there, I need to talk to you. Your wife as you already know, was in a very bad car accident. It was worse then we thought. She's paralyzed from the neck down. You'll have to help her for the rest of her life. You'll have to bathe her, feed her, clean up after her, change her, and whatever else she needs. You are going to have to wait on her hand and foot forever."

The man is in such shock and breaks down crying. The doctor turns to the man and says "Nah, i'm just fucking with you, she's dead".
